Comedy is King
Dane Cook's new CD debuted at number 4 this week and sold 86,000 copies. Somewhat inexplicably since his last CD never made the top 200 and sold 4,000 in its biggest week. Anyway, it's the highest chart position for a comedy album since this. . .
. . .hit number 2 back in 1979. That's quite a feat for Mr. Cook, who I find neither here nor there in terms of funny. Maybe I need to give him another chance. Despite the good news though, his debut comes 6,000 copies short of setting the record for most copies sold in a week by a comedy album. That honor was swiped up earlier in the year by the following.
You know it.
